Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal data when you use Dollar Odyssey.
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
Dollar Odyssey (“Dollar Odyssey”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to safeguarding your personal data and maintaining high standards of data protection in line with applicable laws and regulatory expectations in Singapore.
This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal data when you access or use the Dollar Odyssey platform.
By using Dollar Odyssey, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to all personal data collected by Dollar Odyssey through:
- Use of our platform and services
- Account registration and onboarding
- Integration with third-party financial data providers
This Policy does not apply to third-party services, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Personal Data Collected
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
a. Identification Data
Name and email address
b. Account Data
Login credentials and account preferences
c. Financial Data
- Asset holdings, portfolio balances, and valuations
- Transaction summaries where available
d. Connected Account Data
Information obtained through third-party integrations (e.g. broker APIs, financial institutions) — we accept only read-only access
e. Usage and Technical Data
Platform usage activity, device information, IP address, and browser type
4. Purpose of Collection, Use and Disclosure
We collect, use, and disclose personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Dollar Odyssey platform
- To aggregate and present your financial data in a unified view
- To generate analytics, insights, and financial simulations
- To improve system performance, functionality, and user experience
- To communicate service-related updates, support responses, and notices
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
Dollar Odyssey does not execute financial transactions or act on your behalf.
5. Consent
By providing your personal data and using Dollar Odyssey, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with this Policy.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. However, doing so may limit or prevent us from providing certain services.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences — these cannot be switched off, as the platform cannot function without them.
We also use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. These are off by default and only load once you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data.
Not everything below is Dollar Odyssey disclosing your data outward — some of it is us receiving data at your direction, or sending it somewhere only because you chose to connect it. We distinguish these:
a. Service providers we engage
To operate the platform, we share personal data with providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions — for example cloud hosting and database infrastructure, payment processing, transactional email delivery, and product analytics. This is a disclosure we make, for our own operational purposes.
b. External accounts you choose to connect
When you connect a broker, exchange, or wallet integration, you are authorizing that provider to send your own account data (e.g. holdings, balances) to us — not the other way around. The API credentials you supply are used only to retrieve your data from that provider on your behalf; we do not use them for any other purpose. That provider already holds this data as your account custodian, independently of Dollar Odyssey.
c. AI assistants you choose to connect
Dollar Odyssey can optionally expose your own portfolio data to an AI assistant of your choosing (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) that you have separately authorized to connect. This exists to let you access your own data through a tool you control — it is your action, not ours, that causes data to reach that assistant, and it only happens for an account you have explicitly connected.
d. Regulatory and legal disclosure
We may disclose personal data to regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies where required by law.
Providers in category (a) are required to protect your data in accordance with applicable standards. The named providers in each category are listed in our Data Privacy page.
8. Third-Party Integrations
Dollar Odyssey may integrate with external platforms such as financial institutions and data providers you choose to connect.
- We accept only read-only access
- Dollar Odyssey does not initiate transactions or modify your accounts
- Data accuracy and availability depend on third-party providers
Separately, you may connect a third-party AI assistant to access your own data through Dollar Odyssey. This connection is initiated and authorized by you, can be revoked by you at any time, and is limited to the account you connect it to.
Your use of such integrations is subject to the respective third parties’ terms and policies.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data.
These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit
- Encryption of stored data at rest, with credentials for connected accounts additionally encrypted at the application layer
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms
- Monitoring systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access
While we take reasonable steps to secure your data, no system is completely secure.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
When personal data is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.
11. Your Rights
In accordance with applicable laws, you may have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your data
Requests may be submitted through the contact details below. We may require verification of your identity before processing such requests.
12. International Transfers
Your core account and portfolio data is stored in Singapore. It is transferred to, stored, or processed outside Singapore only where a service provider requires it to perform its function for us — currently payment processing, transactional email delivery, and product analytics — or where you separately authorize a transfer by connecting an external account or AI assistant. See our Data Privacy page for the current list.
Where such transfers occur, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is protected to a standard comparable to that under Singapore law.
13. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in significant harm or impact, we will take reasonable steps to:
- Assess and contain the breach
- Notify affected users where appropriate
- Comply with applicable reporting obligations under Singapore law
14. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be reflected by revising the “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, we may notify you of material changes.
Your continued use of Dollar Odyssey constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
